Licensed Practical Nurse - Lansing, MI
We're seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented professional to join our team in the vibrant city of Lansing, MI. This temporary contract role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting, with two available shifts: 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM, each lasting 12 hours. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting physicians and RNs, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or physician, following established policies and procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress, promptly reporting changes to supervising staff.
- Assist with wound care, specimen collection, and other clinical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and charting.
- Support physicians and nurses during examinations and treatments.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and health maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards.
- Contribute to team meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Active license in the state of Michigan.
- 1–3 years of nursing experience preferred (new grads considered depending on setting).
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach and effective communication skills.
Preferred Experience (Optional)
- Experience in a specialty area such as long-term care, family practice, urgent care, or home health.
- EMR/EHR proficiency (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athena).
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
